College of Agriculture

Vision

The MSU College of Agriculture envisions to produce self-directing and competent graduates; contribute to the pool of knowledge in science and technology; develop strategies in the uses and applications of science and technology in the attainment of self-sufficient and global competitiveness in foods and fibers in the next century.

Mission

To provide opportunities for the development of thought processes in agriculture and allied field of disciplines; to promote and encourage search for truth and knowledge through research and to encourage the promotion of viable, socially and culturally acceptable technologies in the countryside.

Goals

To develop the students’ ability in critical thinking and problem solving under all conditions including the infusion of socially and morally acceptable values as the basic structure for the formation and development of man; build up research facilities and capabilities through linkages and collaboration within and outside the university and establish more demonstration and pilot projects in the LANAO AND/OR THE MINSUPALA REGION AS A WHOLE.

Objectives

1. To offer and continually update relevant curricula  and non-degree programs in various agricultural discipline;
2. To encourage the undertaking of state of the art researches by both students and faculty members;
3. To establish a strong technology processing and extension units which will facilitate the packaging and disseminating the research generated technologies;
4. To encourage entrepreneurial agricultural businesses through the establishment of self-sustaining pilot and demonstration projects both inside and outside the MSU campus and the spirit of cooperativism,
5. To continually facilitate the augmentation of the existing college physical facilities and library resources.
