 The Board of Regents of the Mindanao State University System Announces the Opening of the Search for MSU – Naawan Campus Chancellor   NOTICE OF SEARCH FOR MSU – NAAWAN CAMPUS CHANCELLOR   Minimum Qualifications:   1.    Not less than thirty-five (35) years old and not more than sixty-one (61) years at the time of application. Sixty-one (61) years old shall mean from theactual date of birth and not a day older beyond sixty-one (61) years old. 2.    A natural-born Filipino citizen. 3.    Holder of an earned doctorate degree from a reputable higher education institution. 4.    Proven track record as an administrator in a tertiary level educational institution (President, Vice-President, Chancellor, Dean, Campus Administrator, Academic Director reporting directly to the President or to a Vice President), whether in public or private, for at least five (5) years. 5.    Must not have been convicted of any administrative offense or of any crime involving moral turpitude.   An applicant who does not meet any one of the abovementioned minimum qualifications and cannot submit pertinent supporting documentary evidences for these minimum qualifications on the set deadline shall be disqualified from the Search Process.

Vision

The College of Engineering of the Mindanao State University Main Campus at Marawi City aims to be the premier accredited Engineering Institution committed to the development and effective transfer of knowledge and skills in Science and Technology.

Mission and Objectives

Mission Statement A: To provide and maintain a quality engineering education especially among the cultural minoritie in the MINSUPALA region.

Objectives:

  • To have qualified faculty members
  • To have qualified students
  • To acquire support facilities and services
  • To have a relevant curriculum.

Mission Statement B: To conduct technological research with emphasis on the problems, needs and development of the region.

Objectives:

  • Availability of research funds should be placed under College Budget
  • Linkages with other agencies and institutions.
  • Listing of research areas and identification of needs and resources.
  • Library facilities and information technology (e.g. INTERNET)
  • Motivations for doing research.

Mission Statement C: To adopt, develop, and improve technologies that can be made economically viable using local resources.

Objectives:

  • Access to existing technologies.
  • Identification of research potentials and local resources.

Mission Statement D: To provide extension services through technical assistance.

Objectives:

  • To conduct consultancy works within the bounds of University rules.
  • To establish linkages with various organization ( GOs, NGOs) engaged in engineering works.
  • To conduct demonstration of projects, seminars, workshops, Symposia and lectures on the use of newly developed technologies.
  • To promote commercialization of the new technologies.

General Objectives:

  • To provide and maintain a quality engineering education especially among the cultural minorities in the MINSUPALA region.
