  2018 MSU Marawi Campus In-House Research Review March 21, 2018, 8am – 5pm, MSTRC   Call for Papers   THEME: MSU Marawi: Continuing Sustainable Researches amidst Adversity All MSU Marawi Faculty and staff researchers, and currently enrolled graduate students are invited to showcase their own research outputs from 2015 to present through oral and poster presentations. Entries will be categorized into two clusters: 1) Pure and Applied Sciences and 2) Social Sciences, Humanities and Education. There will twelve winning entries with cash awards: six winners from each cluster i.e. three for oral and three for poster presentations, respectively. Only First Place Winners will represent the MSU Campus in the 4th MSU System Research Summit in 2019.

 The Board of Regents of the Mindanao State University System Announces the Opening of the Search for MSU – Naawan Campus Chancellor   NOTICE OF SEARCH FOR MSU – NAAWAN CAMPUS CHANCELLOR   Minimum Qualifications:   1.    Not less than thirty-five (35) years old and not more than sixty-one (61) years at the time of application. Sixty-one (61) years old shall mean from theactual date of birth and not a day older beyond sixty-one (61) years old. 2.    A natural-born Filipino citizen. 3.    Holder of an earned doctorate degree from a reputable higher education institution. 4.    Proven track record as an administrator in a tertiary level educational institution (President, Vice-President, Chancellor, Dean, Campus Administrator, Academic Director reporting directly to the President or to a Vice President), whether in public or private, for at least five (5) years. 5.    Must not have been convicted of any administrative offense or of any crime involving moral turpitude.   An applicant who does not meet any one of the abovementioned minimum qualifications and cannot submit pertinent supporting documentary evidences for these minimum qualifications on the set deadline shall be disqualified from the Search Process.

Vision

The College of SPEAR envisions as the leading institution in the promotion and development of sports, physical education, recreation and dance specifically in the MINSUPALA region and the country as a whole.

Mission/ Purpose Statement

To actively participate in the promotion and development of fitness and health among the peoples particularly the members of the culture communities in Mindanao, Sulu and Palawan (MINSUPALA) Region through instruction, extension, research and development in Sports, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (SPEARD) so that the people may become physically fit, socio-cultural adjusted, emotionally mature, mentally well and morally upright pursuing a peaceful and prosperous quality of life.

Objectives

1. INSTRUCTION

  • To produce highly skilled and totally fit graduates who are committed to promote a healthy lifestyle.

2. RESEARCH

  • To undertake researches that will develop and enhance SPEARD programs and activities through the empirical studies results.

3. EXTENSION

  • To provide relevant services in SPEARD to target beneficiaries with the goal of promoting a quality of life this results to peace and development in the community.

4. ATHLETICS

  • To provide equal opportunities for identification, selection, training and development of highly skilled athletes in various sports.

5. ADMISTRATION

  • To manage human and material resources for maximum effectiveness.

6. ALUMNI

  • To establish open communication between and among the alumni for development through SPEARD related activities.

7. LINKAGES

  • To cultivate and develop sustainable strategies partnership with institutions and like-minded individuals.

8.TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT

  • To develop programs and activities for training and development of Health, Physical Education, Recreation, Sports, Fitness and Dance professionals and practitioners.

Goals

  • Offer a Ph.D Program in SPERD

2. RESEARCH

  • To become the leading research institution in SPERD.

3. EXTENSION

  • To saturate minsupala with various extension and Development Program in SPERD.

4. ATHLETICS

  • To establish MSU as a center in Athletics.

5. ADMINISTRATION

  • To implement income generating projects to support SPERD development programs.

6. ALUMNI

  • To mobilize alumni as coordinators of SPERD programs in the different regions in MINSUPALA.

7. LINKAGES

  • To establish local and international linkages which will promote SPERD development.

8. TRANING and DEVELOPMENT

  • To establish MSU as the center for training and development of HPERS’D Professionals and practitioners.
