Project: Conference on Extremism and Moderation from Islamic Perspective 
Date: February 11-12, 2016

Objectives: This symposium aspires to: (1) Accentuate the fact that Islam rejects as well as fights against hyperbole, extremism, and terrorism. (2) Bridge the gap between the diverse viewpoints regarding the concepts of hyperbole and disaffection. (3) Minimize the divisions as well as conflicts caused by the misunderstanding of the true image of Islam. (4) Avail successful practices in restraining hyperbole and showing tolerance and moderation of Islam. (5) Broaden the range of research interests as well as the exchange of thoughts in different fields of Islamic and educational sciences.

Project: First MSUS Research and Innovation Summit (MSU Annual Research Conference)
Date: July 30-31, 2013
Theme: Strengthening Research and Innovation by Promoting Culture of Research and Collaboration

Objectives: At the end of the research summit, the researchers and other participants will be able to:

  1. Disseminate results of research findings to colleagues
  2. Endeavor to know how to publish researches
  3. Promote culture of research and collaboration
  4. Provide a platform of R and D collaboration among different campuses of MSUS
  5. Encourage participants to examine issues in the comparative and global context by enhancing knowledge and facilitating the implementation of positive changes in the educational system
  6. Recognize Outstanding Best Oral Paper Presenter/Best Poster Presentation by giving them certificates, plaque and cash awards.

MSU Research Summit has been moved from March 9, 2013 to July 30-31, 2013, at Mamitua Saber Research and Training Center, MSU Marawi - Main Campus. Registration Fee: Php 1,000.00. Accepted papers will be notified through their emails.

The Office of the President of the Mindanao State University System (MSUS) invites all researchers and educators in the MSU System to participate in the 1st MSU System Research Summit to be held at Mamitua Saber Research Center, Mindanao State University, Marawi City. (Date: TBA)

The IR 135 (Diplomacy of Europe and America), IR 100 (Diplomatic and Consular Practice and Procedure), and the Junior Diplomats Club (JDC) of the Department of International Relations of the King Faisal Center for Islamic, Arabic and Asian Studies, in partnership with the Professionals of International Studies in Mindanao (PRISM), the American Studies Resource Center (ASRC), and the Institute for Peace and Development in Mindanao (IPDM) of MSU Marawi campus spearheaded by conducting a Symposium on RP-US Relations in celebration of the Filipino-American Friendship Day (July 4) 2011 on July 27, 2011 at IPDM, MSU, Marawi City with the theme: “RP-US Relations: Toward a Shared History and Commitment for a Lasting Friendship.”

Mindanao State University - System Admission and Scholarship Examination (MSU-SASE) is scheduled this coming September 15, 2013. Graduating High School students, Out-of-School Youth and transferees are advised to take MSU-SASE.
