Network engineers with a good knowledge in MikroTik RouterOS are being demanded by Internet Service Providers and System Integrators throughout the world. Taking into account that the demand for MikroTik Certified Engineers is constantly increasing, MikroTik is offering higher educational institutions the possibility to organize Networking classes using RouterOS as a learning tool. Students may obtain an internationally recognized certificate (MTCNA) that confirms their academic credentials.
With the goal of expanding RouterOS learning capabilities by launching the MikroTik Academy Program, MikroTik officially recognized the College of Information Technology (CIT) of MSU-Main Campus, Marawi City as one of its MikroTik Academies in Asia.
As a MikroTik Academy, CIT particularly the Computer Studies Department (CSD) is tasked to incorporate MikroTik technologies in its curricula specifically in the networking aspect and to conduct training for those interested to be certified in any of the following MikroTik certifications namely MikroTik Certified Network Associate (MTCNA), Mikrotik Certified Routing Engineer(MTCRE) and Mikrotik Certified User Management Engineer (MTCUME).
Along with the MikroTik Academy recognition, Professor Julieto Perez, Mr. Jofil Israel, Mr. Solaiman Eshmael Batara and Mr. Ronald Silvosa of the College of Information Technology were also certified as Academy Trainers after successfully completed the appropriate trainings and certification requirements specifically MTCNA, MTCRE & MTCUME. The team of Engr. Roy Lopez Pamitalan of MSU-Sulu, a pioneering certified MikroTik Academy Trainer of the Philippines conducted the training of trainers that lasted for a week after which certification examinations followed.
