MSU signs cooperation agreement with TESDA to strengthen Pres. Duterte’s poverty alleviation programs
Being the biggest university in Mindanao, and second biggest in the country (the University of the Philippines ranks No. 1), the relative importance of Mindanao State University System (MSUS) as a peace and development instrument of the national government was again highlighted by the signing of a cooperation agreement on July 20, 2016, between Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), represented by Director General Atty. Guiling Ampang Mamondiong and Mindanao State University, represented by President Habib W. Macaayong. Composed of eleven (11) autonomous campuses strategically located in various conflict-affected areas in Mindanao, the MSU System will spearhead the implementation of the various TESDA initiatives that directly address poverty alleviation, a priority project of President Rodrigo R. Duterte in Mindanao.
