College of Engineering – Admission Policies (unofficial)

Freshmen

1. 1. Academic & DOST Scholars, and Special Muslim Grantees
      1. Direct admission to all degree programs
      2. SASE/CET Result must clearly indicate the scholarship status
   2. Baccalaureate (SASE/CET) Passers
      1. SASE/CET Score must be ≥ COE Cut-Off Score* AND Math Score ≥ COE Math Cut-Off Score*
   3. Pursuers with a Diploma in Engineering Technology
      1. Direct admission to the BS Engineering Technology (BSET) program
      2. Must have graduated with honors for direct admission into the BSAE, BSChE, BSCE, BSEE, BSECE, BSME; or
         Must be a Baccalaureate passer (see item I.b)
   4. Pursuers with a Diploma in other Technology courses
      1. Must be a Baccalaureate passer (see item I.b)

*The COE Cut-off Scores will be based on a pre-determined quota/ available slots for each department.

Shiftees & Transferees

Subject to the availability of slots in the target department,

1. Shiftees from within COE
   1. Must have taken at least MAT060 AND obtained a grade of 2.0 or better
   2. Must have NO failing grades or INCs in any subject
2. Shiftees from other Colleges within MSU and Transferees from other SUCs 
   1. Must have a CGPA of 1.5 or better
   2. Must have NO failing grades or INCs in any creditable subject
