A curriculum summit for the BS Hospitality Management Program was recently held at the College of Economics and Business Administration (CEBA) Hall at the MSU – IIT, Iligan City, last February 10, 2023. The summit was made successful with the collaborative efforts and participation of the representatives from the various offering campuses of the Mindanao State University System such as the MSU Main Campus, MSU – Buug, MSU – IIT, MSU – MSAT, and MSU at Naawan.
The representatives from these campuses have convened in solidarity and harmony for the crafting of a proposed curriculum on Hospitality Management Program, taking into account the demands and trends of the local and global travel, and bearing in mind the guidelines specified by the memorandum of CHED.
The pineapple, shaped like a massive pinecone with a huge crown, immediately attracts attention. The fruit is a globally known symbol of warm welcome, celebration, and most importantly, it symbolizes the spirit of hospitality.
The Hospitality Management program aims to produce globally competitive graduates who will be employed in supervisorial and managerial positions in the diverse sectors of the hospitality industry.
The program aspires to lead the pack of culturally sensitive entrepreneurs who care for the environment, and to do research that may contribute to peace and social responsibility.
