In 1963, College of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences was established at Mindanao State University and become the second college in the country to offer a four-year course in Fisheries with an emphasis on Inland Fisheries. It is the major objective of CFAS to conduct instruction, research and extension services in the field of fisheries necessary for the economic development of Mindanao, Sulu and Palawan region. The College offers BS Fisheries program and expects to offer other 4-year programs in the next academic year.

Develop skills in aquaculture, capture fisheries, post-harvest fisheries, aquatic ecology and management, and other fisheries-related fields. BS Fisheries program has four majors and graduates are intended to be knowledgeable in all aspects of fisheries. If you’re a learner who wants a progress into the economy and fisheries industry, this is the best degree for you.
