She is an emerging young leader from the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) working on women’s empowerment and sustainable community development. She is a faculty member in the Department of Sustainable Community Development in Mindanao State University committed to teaching men and women about gender equality and community organizing, encouraging more women to become community leaders and develop more cohesive Bangsamoro communities. Ms. Dimaampao contributes to developing the next generation of regional leaders—both women and men—in Lanao del Sur and Marawi City. She was former mid-level staff and organizational member of the Al-Mujadilah Development Foundation (AMDF), a non-government organization active in gender justice, peace-building and good governance.
