Onotan “Sohaylah” Sarip Sanguan was born on July 7, 1961 in Lumbac, Balindong, Lanao Del Sur and is currently residing at Upper Commercial Center, MSU Campus, Marawi City. Her father is late Sultan sa Raya Pacaambung Mardan Sarip and her mother is late Hadja Monera Timbao Macalandong. She was married to Engr. Mohammad Lininding Sanguan and they were blessed with six children, namely, Dr. Ainnie Jehan Sarip Sanguan (MD), Sittie Marhamah Sarip Sanguan (LPT, MAED), Dr. Sittie Maimanah Sarip Sanguan (RN, MD), Ana Amrinah Sarip Sanguan, and Iman Sarip Sanguan. Mrs. Sanguan obtained her Bachelor of Science in Commerce major in Accounting at Jamiatul Philippine Al-Islamia on 1983. She passed the Career Service Professional Eligibility on the 13th day of January 1988 with an average score of 72.22%. Neverthless, because of her desire to learn Arabic studies, she obtained 30 units of Bachelor of Science in Teaching Arabic at King Faisal Center for Islamic Arabic and Asian Studies on the year 1993. With regards to her job experiences, she was employed as Research Aide under the MSU King Faisal Center for Islamic Arabic, and Asian Studies from March 16, 1984 to June 30, 1989. On July 1, 1989, she was appointed as URA 1, a position in which she is holding right now, in the said office. Her eldest daughter, Dr. Ainnie Jehan Sarip Sanguan (MD), a married woman, was blessed with 5 children. She is currently connected at Amai Pakpak Medical Center. Her second daughter is Sittie Marhamah Sarip Sanguan (LPT, MAED) was married to Engr. Haron Al-Rashid Lininding Mangondato and they have five children. She is currently working at Dep-Ed Department of Education. The third child is Dr. Maimanah Sarip Sanguan (RN, MD). She got married to Engr. Rayyan Magdara Mocsir and blessed with one daughter. The second to the last one is Ana Amrinah Sarip Sanguan, the one who took Bachelor of Science in Accountancy at RC – Al-khwarizmi International College and finished her degree on year 2020. She received six different awards; JPIA Excellence in Academic (Gold), JPIA Excellence in Non-academic (Silver), JPIA Service Awardee (Gold), JPIA Mackboard Topnotcher, Department Writer of the Year, and Department Athlete of the Year. Lastly, Iman Sarip Sanguan, the 5th child, is currently studying at PEACI as a grade 12 senior high student.
