Prof. Khayronesah P. Abbas, Ph.D, Associate Program Officer for Peace Action, IPDM

Prof. Khayronesah P. Abbas, MPA, Ph.D, is a
faculty of the Mindanao State University –
University Training Center, is active both on Civic
and Inter-Religious Groups like the Development
Assistance Team who served as an Independent
Monitor on Task Force Bangon Marawi programs,
projects and activities. She is the Vice President and Administrator of
Sinab Cabugatan Multi-Skills and Training Center Inc. in Brgy. Bobo,
Piagapo, Lanao del Sur. She is also the President of the Visionares Multi-
Skills and Assessment Center in Lanao del Norte.
She is the elected Assistant Treasurer of KAAGAPAY BATCH and ranked
as Chief Petty Officer of the Philippine Navy Reserve, 623rd Naval
Squadron Reserve, 62 nd Naval Group Reserve, Western Mindanao based
in Marawi City. She is currently the Vice President on Operations of the
Ranaw Lady Eagles Club (RLEC) Lanao del Sur. She is one of the Member
of the Sydney Batch (2001) of the MSU Karate Club.
She finished her Dissertation on Doctor of Philosophy in
Philippine Studies at the College of Social Sciences and Humanities,
Mindanao State University. She had finished her Rabi thanawi at Mahad
Kamilol Islam, Batch 2003.

Prof. Abbas is a Master Teacher II of MSU-UTC and currently is the
Associate Officer on Peace Actions of the Institute for Peace and
Development in Mindanao (IPDM) of MSU, Marawi City, Philippines.

Biography

Accounting can be divided into several fields including financial accounting, management accounting, external auditing, tax accounting and cost accounting. Accounting information systems are designed to support accounting functions and related activities. Financial accounting focuses on the reporting of an organization’s financial information, including the preparation of financial statements, to the external users of the information, such as investors.

Currently, Professor John is focusing his research on individual investor behavior and company incentives to better understand how disclosure affects stock returns and to uncover possible mispricing. Nevertheless, John is conducting an new way of examination of analyst access to information, and he is investigating market reactions to natural issues and the impact that would occur on individual firms.
