Mindanao State University (MSU)-Main Campus commenced its Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) evaluation today, July 1, 2025, at the OP Conference Room. The event marked the start of a comprehensive evaluation by the Regional Quality Assessment Team from CHED Region IX, led by CHED Supervisor Engr. Janeny B. Domingsil. The team also included Dr. Oliver D. Tito, Dr. Mohammad Nur S. Paspasan, Prof. Paulino T. Acebes, Jr., Prof. Jonathan B. Pijarito, and Dr. Ailyn V. Sabdilon-Absara.

Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Dr. Amerkhan G. Cabaro, expressed MSU’s commitment to maintaining high educational standards and its full cooperation with the CHED evaluation team. He expressed confidence in MSU’s preparedness and reiterated the university’s dedication to quality assurance. Also present were MSU officials including Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance Atty. Saaduddin M. Alauya, Jr., CPA; Vice Chancellor for Research, Extension, and Development Dr. Fema M. Abamo; University Quality Assurance Office Director Atty. Jayneveb Recentes-Magolama; and several college deans.

A significant portion of the day involved an ocular inspection of several key semi-academic units, including the University Library, University Medical Services and Hospital/Infirmary, National Service Training Program (NSTP), Admissions Office, Aga Khan Museum, Division of Student Affairs (DSA), Dimaporo Gymnasium and MSU Oval Grounds, University Registrar’s Office, Information and Communication Technology Center (ICTC), and the Meranaw Cultural Heritage Center (MCHC). The delegates thoroughly examined the facilities and their operations.

The final evaluation visit will be held tomorrow, July 2, 2025, at Go Hotels, where five programs—BS Fisheries, BS Mathematics, BS Statistics, BS Environmental Science, and BS Psychology—will be evaluated. This visit will conclude the assessment of MSU’s compliance with program standards.
