MSU System President Tago Spearheads Initiative to Enhance Student Dormitory Facilities

MSU Main Campus - Marawi City > 16-Peace, Justice & Strong Institutions (SDG Goals) > MSU System President Tago Spearheads Initiative to Enhance Student Dormitory Facilities

Mindanao State University (MSU) System President Atty. Paisalin P.D. Tago, CPA, recently led the distribution of essential dormitory provisions to the MSU-Main Campus. This initiative, part of the broader “Comforting Students in Need” program, involved the formal turnover of foams, pillows, and steel double decks to campus dormitories through the Housing Management Division, headed by Director Nagaranao A. Sangcopan, MPA, on September 16, 2025.

This strategic effort underscores the university’s commitment to prioritizing student welfare and creating a more conducive academic environment. The provision of these new furnishings is designed to directly address and elevate the experience of resident students, offering them improved comfort and rest, which are critical for academic focus and success.

The distribution serves as a tangible demonstration of MSU’s holistic approach to student support, extending beyond pedagogical instruction to include fundamental aspects of student well-being. By ensuring students, particularly those from remote or economically disadvantaged backgrounds, have access to secure and comfortable housing, the university is actively working to mitigate barriers to educational attainment.

These facility upgrades are expected to positively impact student academic performance and enrich their overall campus experience. This project is a stepping stone that aligns with the MSU System leadership’s long-term commitment to enhancing student services and infrastructure across all its campuses.
