On November 6, 2025, Mindanao State University (MSU) System President Atty. Paisalin P.D. Tago, CPA, personally visited students displaced by the recent 3rd Street fire, who are now temporarily housed at the BARMM Dormitory on the MSU-Marawi Campus.

During his compassionate outreach, President Tago distributed cash donations to the affected students, providing immediate financial relief to help them purchase necessities lost in the blaze. His visit also included key inspections of facilities like the MSU-ISED (Institute of Science Education) led by Prof. Sittie Maisah-Nehar M. Dalidig, LPT and the Mamitua Saber Institute of Research and Creation (MSIRC) headed by Dr. Mahid M. Mangontarum, emphasizing his dedication to both student welfare and crucial infrastructure development across the MSU System.

This swift action underscores the MSU administration’s unwavering commitment to student support, particularly during times of crisis. By ensuring temporary lodging and financial assistance, the university is actively working to minimize disruption to the affected students’ studies and aid their recovery from the tragedy. President Tago’s hands-on approach reaffirms that student well-being remains a top priority, fostering a resilient and supportive environment within the entire MSU community.
