Stemming from the University’s goal to advance quality assurance and strengthen global competitiveness, and in line with the MSU System President Atty. Paisalin P.D. Tago, CPA’s 9-Point Agenda, three delegates from Mindanao State University Main Campus participated in the ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) International Conference 2025 at Dewan Tunku Canselor, Universiti Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on November 5-6, 2025.
The conference gathered 400 quality assurance (QA) experts and practitioners from 104 institutions across 11 countries, along with 19 distinguished speakers, to engage in discussions on enhancing QA practices in higher education. Participants explored innovative approaches to strengthen institutional quality systems and adapt to the rapidly evolving regional and global academic landscape.
Representing MSU Marawi were Dr. Glen A. Lorenzo, Vice President for Research and Extension; Dr. Minerva-Saminah M. Naga, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs; and Dr. Richard S. Celeste, Secretary of the Campus Quality Assurance Board.
This year’s conference theme centered on “Fortifying Higher Education: Strategic QA for Resilience and Institutional Immunity in ASEAN,” featuring insights from leading QA experts and higher education professionals across ASEAN and neighboring regions. The sessions highlighted best practices, emerging trends, and strategic initiatives aimed at fostering institutional resilience and sustainability through quality assurance.
Through its active participation in international platforms such as the AUN-QA Conference, MSU Marawi continues to reaffirm its commitment to upholding excellence, ensuring quality education, and advancing its role as a globally competitive university.
