On November 13, 2025, the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) Iligan Branch conducted a Consultative Meeting with the Property Division of Mindanao State University – Marawi Campus. The meeting was presided over by Director Juhary B. Pangandaman, together with Property Division personnel Alamina S. Sumandar (Secretary), Alimatar Diamla, and Nasib Mambuay. Representing GSIS were Mr. Karl Mohamad Sadat Boransing, Team Leader from the Special Business Unit, Frontline Services Division, and Mr. Norsalem D. Dimaporo, Division Chief of the same division.
The discussion centered on the reconciliation of unpaid GSIS compulsory premiums and the property insurance coverage of MSU-Marawi. Particular emphasis was given to the Building Insurance and Motor Vehicle Insurance, highlighting the importance of ensuring that all university-owned structures and vehicles are properly insured against potential risks. The GSIS representatives also provided clarifications on policy coverage, claim procedures, and the requirements for updating insurance records to ensure accurate and timely processing.
The meeting served as a productive platform to strengthen coordination between GSIS and the University, reaffirming their shared commitment to safeguarding MSU’s assets and ensuring compliance with government insurance policies.
