The Mindanao State University–Marawi Campus successfully commenced its three-day Campus Academic Summit from June 10-12, 2026 at the Dimaporo Gymnasium, MSU Main Campus with the theme: “Strengthening Academic Practice through Policy Alignment, Faculty Development, and Continuous Improvement”.

A major highlight of the opening program was the keynote address delivered by MSU System President Atty. Paisalin P. Tago, CPA, who emphasized that academic excellence is achieved through effective policy implementation, continuous faculty development, and a culture of continuous improvement. He challenged the university community to work collectively toward institutional transformation, global competitiveness, and peace building while remaining committed to MSU’s vision of an inclusive university serving the Bangsamoro and beyond. “The future of MSU is not determined by circumstances. It will be shaped by the academic decisions we make, the standards we uphold, the reforms we implement, and the commitments we honor beginning with this Summit.”

The first day of the summit serves as a valuable platform for faculty and staff to gain insights into university policies, professional responsibilities, and institutional developments. The event will continue over the next two days with additional sessions designed to promote academic growth, institutional effectiveness, and organizational excellence.
