Objectives and Goals

1. To conduct studies in Biology, Ecology, systematic distribution and conservation of the flora and fauna of the Philippines with emphasis on those found in the MINSUPALA Region.
2. Organize and bring together collection of flora and fauna of the Philippines, especially those found in the MINSUPALA Region, which can be used as reference.
3. Curate exhibitions of terrestrial flora and fauna of the Philippines, with emphasis on those found in the MINSUPALA Region, which can be beneficial to Biology and Zoology students from primary to college level.
4. Study the collections and prepare “Loan-out Exhibits” and conservation of the flora and fauna of the Philippines, especially those found in the MINSUPALA Region, which can be loaned, by special arrangement, to other institutions in the region, to aid them in their instruction.
5. Prepare non-technical literature on Philippine animals and plants for popular reading which can be used as aids in teaching and learning of the natural sciences dealing with Philippine biology including teaching materials for elementary, secondary and college levels.
6. Engage in extension activities with schools of all levels and as many organizations as possible, to disseminate proper information on Philippine flora and fauna and to promote their proper conservation.
