Marawi City, August 6, 2025 — Mindanao State University (MSU) has taken a significant step toward fostering a digital ecosystem on its campus by partnering with GCash, the Philippines’ leading finance super app, as part of its “Finance for All” program. This collaboration aims to promote financial inclusion, streamline transactions, and empower students, faculty, and local communities through accessible digital financial tools.
The initiative aligns with GCash’s mission to democratize financial services and MSU’s commitment to innovation and community development. By integrating GCash’s cashless payment solutions, the university seeks to enhance campus operations and provide students with seamless access to financial services such as tuition payments, remittances, and micro-investments. Another major goal os to help MSU on cashless disbursements especially for student scholarship funds and the likes.
This initiative is hoped to be implemented after a thorough examination of its feasibility in the campus coupled with proper administrative procedures and policy guidance from the Board of Regents. This shall also form part of the university’s goal for improving transparency and accountability within the university.
