Mindanao State University (MSU) joins the GreenTrans-Edu Science Camp and Strategic Partner Visit in Indonesia (31 January–14 February 2025) as a member of the Green Transition Education (GreenTrans-Edu) Cluster, an international academic cluster formed under the EU-ASEAN SCOPE-HE framework.
MSU’s participation, as an established cluster partner, is anchored on its identified strengths in Soil Science, Biology, Communication and Social Science and Electrical Engineering technologies. The Science Camp served as a platform for partner universities to deepen collaboration, align research goals, methodologies, and protocols, and strengthen working relationships to ensure coherence in future joint research and academic activities.
The program brought together partner institutions including Technische Universität Ilmenau (Germany), Université de Technologie de Compiègne (France), Fachhochschule Erfurt (Germany), Universitas Pancasila, President University, Universitas Atma Jaya Yogyakarta, and Institut Teknologi Sains Bandung (Indonesia). Activities included community and village immersion to ground research in real-world contexts, as well as writeshops on proposal development and collaborative project design.
MSU’s engagement in the GreenTrans-Edu Cluster builds on its prior international collaborations, strengthened through its membership in the World Universities Network (WTUN) and its academic linkage with Technische Universität Ilmenau. The initiative underscores MSU’s continuing commitment, with the support of MSUS President Atty. Paisalin D. Tago to internationalization, sustainability, and long-term global academic partnerships.
