Mindanao State University–General Santos Campus commemorated its 47th Commencement Exercises, honoring the academic triumphs and resolute determination of the graduating Class of 2026, Batch Magdarani.
Leading the distinguished guests was MSU System President Atty. Paisalin P.D. Tago, CPA, who joined university officials, faculty members, parents, alumni, and guests in honoring the accomplishments of the graduating class.
Taking the stage as the commencement speaker was Laurence L. Delina, PhD, an Associate Professor at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and a distinguished alumnus of MSU-General Santos. In addressing the graduating class, Dr. Delina reflected on his journey from the halls of MSU-GenSan to the international academic community. He reminded the graduates that success is seldom the result of a single defining moment. Instead, he said, it is built through steady progress, resilience, and the courage to take one step at a time.
“You do not need to see the entire journey. Sometimes, you simply need to take the next step—being brave enough to take that step, regardless of how small it may seem,” he told the graduates. He also commended the MSU community for its resilience, solidarity, and unwavering spirit in the face of adversity.
