About NSTP

Republic Act No. 9163, also known as the “National Service Training Program (NSTP) Act of 2001” declares the affirmed action of the prime duty of the government to serve and protect its citizens. In turn, it shall be the responsibility of all citizens to defend the security of the State and in fulfillment thereof, the government may require each citizen to render personal, military or civil service.

Recognizing the youth’s vital role in nation-building, the state shall promote civic consciousness among the youth and shall develop their physical, moral, spiritual, intellectual and social well-being. It shall inculcate in the youth patriotism, nationalism, and advance their involvement in public and civic affairs.

In pursuit of these goals, the youth as the most valuable resource of the nation, shall be motivated, trained, organized and mobilized in military training, literacy, civic welfare and other similar endeavors in the service of the nation.

𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐒𝐔 𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐍𝐒𝐓𝐏 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒!

On June 9th, the Mindanao State University Main – National Service Training Program (NSTP) celebrated its graduates with a momentous ceremony held at the Dimaporo Gymnasium. The event, themed “𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐍𝐒𝐓𝐏: 𝐍𝐮𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬, 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬,” recognized the dedication and leadership of these more than 3000 graduates who have committed themselves to service.
 
The ceremony featured a program with speeches from the Keynote Speaker, the Director of the Presidential Management Staff of the MSU System, 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐲. 𝐑𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐝 𝐕. 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢, and the Vice Chancellor for the Academic Affairs, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐀𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐤𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐆. 𝐂𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐨 who both gave encouraging and inspiring messages. The graduates were presented by ROTC 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐎𝐋 𝐓𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞 𝐃 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐨 𝐈𝐍𝐅 (𝐆𝐒𝐂) 𝐏𝐀 and 𝐍𝐒𝐓𝐏 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐀𝐛𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐝 𝐓. 𝐋𝐮𝐜𝐦𝐚𝐧.
 
The ceremony’s highlights included the official confirmation of the NSTP graduates by the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Dr. Amerkhan G. Cabaro, followed by the presentation of certificates of completion. Plaques were then awarded to the NSTP student leader, awardees for service and excellence, and outstanding ROTC cadets and officers. 𝐂𝐃𝐓 𝐂𝐎𝐋 𝐌𝐨𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐝 𝐍𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥 𝐇. 𝐃𝐚𝐮𝐝, the NSTP student leader for the academic year 2023-2024, delivered an inspiring word of commitment.
 
Following this, 𝐌𝐚𝐣𝐨𝐫 𝐀𝐲𝐮𝐧𝐚𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐠𝐨𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐧 led the oath-taking and acceptance of Basic ROTC Reservists. Capping off the event was the launch of “𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐝𝐞,” the official student publication of the National Service Training Program of Mindanao State University Main Campus.
 
The MSU Main community extends its heartfelt congratulations to the NSTP Graduates of 2024! We are confident that you will continue to make a positive impact as you embark on the next chapter of your lives.

In accordance with RA 9163, all students of any baccalaureate degree program or of at least two (2) year TVET programs in public and private educational institutions and enterprises are required to complete one (1) of the NSTP components as a requisite for graduation.

 

𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐌𝐒𝐔 𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐂 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬! They received a 𝟗𝟗.𝟏𝟔% 𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 in the 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐓𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐑𝐀𝐀𝐓𝐈) held at MSU Grandstand and Dimaporo Gymnasium by the RAATI Unit Inspectors of 103Bde, 1ID, PA, led by its Chairman, 𝐂𝐎𝐋 𝐁𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐘 𝐎 𝐃𝐄𝐋𝐀 𝐑𝐎𝐒𝐀 𝐈𝐍𝐅 (𝐆𝐒𝐂) 𝐏𝐀.
