In celebration of Mindanao State University’s 64th Founding Anniversary, OkIR – The University Arts Club organized a Live Painting Contest on October 10, 2025, at the MSU-Maranao Cultural Heritage Center with the theme “Inklusibong Pamantasan.” The event gathered 20 participants who showcased their creativity and artistry in promoting inclusivity through visual expression.
The program commenced at 8:30 a.m. with the playing of hymns, followed by an opening message and a discussion of the contest criteria before proceeding to the competition proper. Each participant was provided with art materials and encouraged to choose their own space within the venue, fostering an atmosphere of comfort and inspiration throughout the creative process.
The live painting ran the whole day and concluded at 5:30 p.m., marking a successful celebration of artistry and inclusivity. The program will resume on Monday afternoon for the culmination activity, where all artworks will be displayed to honor the talent and dedication of the university’s artists.
