Alejandro M. Gonzaga, Jr. is Assistant Professor IV and the concurrent chairman of the Extension and Production Department of the College of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences, MSU, Marawi City. He obtained his degree in BS in Fisheries major in Inland Fisheries as College Leadership Awardee at the College of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences of the Mindanao State University, Main Campus.
He finished his MS in Marine Biology at the School of Graduate Studies of the Mindanao State University, Naawan Campus and he has also completed his academic requirements leading to Ph.D. in Fisheries at the University of the Philippines in the Visayas through a scholarship grant by the DOST-Accelerated Science and Technology Human Resource Development Program (ASTHRDP).
He is a project staff in a research project collaboration between the MSU-CFAS and DOST-PCAARRD and with that of the MSU-CFAS and MOST-BARMM, respectively. He has served the College of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences in various capacities as Assistant Dean and as Faculty Coordinator to the different MSU extension campuses such as the MSU-Main Campus Sindangan Extension, MSU-Malabang Community College, MSU-Lopez Jaena Community College, and MSU-Baloi Community College.
