Dr. Aynah Khadijah Molok Salic was born on August 24, 1989, at MSU Main Campus, Marawi City. A native of Ditsaan Ramain, specifically from Buadi Puso Buntong, Wato Balindong, and also hails from Bacolod Grande (Kalawi).
She is an Assistant Professor of Islamic Studies (Muslim Law) in the Graduate Program Department at the King Faisal Center for Islamic Arabic and Asian Studies, Mindanao State University Main Campus.
Dr. Salic previously worked with the MSU Intellectual Property Office under the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Extension Services and the MSU Cultural Heritage Center from 2020 to 2022. Before joining the faculty in October 2020, she served as Administrative Officer of MSU KFCIAAS from 2016 to 2020.
Pursuing further education, Dr. Salic is currently enrolled in the Juris Doctor Program at the MSU College of Law, expanding her expertise in the Philippine legal profession as a member of the Philippine Shariah Bar.
Her academic credentials include a Doctorate in Philosophy in Philippine Studies, specializing in Mindanao Society and Culture, from the College of Social Sciences and Humanities at Mindanao State University Marawi (2022), where she received recognition for Best in Dissertation Writing. She also holds a Master’s degree in Islamic Studies (Muslim Law) from the same university (2018).
Dr. Salic passed the Special Shariah Bar Examinations administered by the Supreme Court of the Philippines in 2014 and completed her Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies (Shariah) at KFCIAAS, MSU Marawi, in 2012.
As a researcher, Dr. Salic explores the intersection of culture and religion to address contemporary issues in Meranaw society. She has been invited to speak on promoting peace, particularly among Meranaw youth in Lanao del Sur. In her professional practice, she serves as a Shariah Counselor-at-Law, handling cases related to family relations among Muslims.
