JD Aliah P. Cali-Pascan, MPA, Program Officer for Peace Action

Aliah P. Cali-Pascan is on a re-assignment as Peace Action Officer
currently in the Institute on Peace and Development in Mindanao,

MSU, Marawi City. Her areas of focus as Peace Action Officer are in
pursuit to BOR Resolution Nos. 224 series 2001 and no. 107 series of
2007.
As a Peace Action Officer, she has been one of the pioneering members
for the committee in the formulation of fundamentals of Peace
Education. She has negotiated to start the trainers’ training on
fundamentals of peace education funded by MSU and facilitated by
Center for Peace and Conflict Studies. She has been trained to be
mediator and arbitrator as part of her profession, Shari’ah Counselor.
She is a facilitator and organizer as trained in University of the
Philippines, National College on Public Administration and Governance,
Congress of the Philippines and in her employment as Engagement
Officer of the USAID ENGAGE Project. She is also well trained in
planning and organizing focused on local governance particularly in
gender and development, local school board and peace and order
council.
She has worked both in government, non-government organization and
development programs. She started to work in government as Legal
Officer II and eventually as Regional Director of Department of
Education, Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao. For her works in
MSU, she started her career as Executive Assistant III. Her work
commenced in introducing reforms like formulation of the Strategic
Performance Management of the University, orientation on Anti Red
Tape Act, and application of Quality Management System. She
envisioned to work with quality standards in her performance. She
acted as an Officer in Charge of the Presidential Management Staff
(PMS) office during the start of the Marawi siege. And her mission at that time
was to assist the President, all officials, faculty, staff and students to
continue the operation and transaction of Mindanao State University
despite Marawi City was faced with challenges. As she had
proved herself to be worthy in her performance, she became a regular
PMS Director during the liberation of Marawi City. Along with other
officials, she oversaw the Balik MSU of the Students in the campus. She
was also designated on different concurrent capacities like Shari’ah
Center Director and Office of Information, Press and Publication Director.

In December 2022, she was designated as Assistant Vice
Chancellor for Academic Affairs.
She is an active worker, juris doctor, a loving mother and a Doctor of Public Administration.

Biography

Accounting can be divided into several fields including financial accounting, management accounting, external auditing, tax accounting and cost accounting. Accounting information systems are designed to support accounting functions and related activities. Currently, Professor John is focusing his research on individual investor behavior and company incentives to better understand how disclosure affects stock returns and to uncover possible mispricing. Nevertheless, John is conducting an new way of examination of analyst access to information, and he is investigating market reactions to natural issues and the impact that would occur on individual firms.
