Biography

Norjannah Bacaro Maunga Abdulhalim, MAIS (CAR) is currently an Arabic teacher and coordinator at the Mindanao State University – Binidayan Community High School (MSU-BCHS). She earned her degree in Bachelor of Arts in Arabic Language at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Second Class Honor, 2019). She acquired her Certificate in Professional Education at Philippine Muslim Teachers’ College last 2020. She also completed the academic requirements for her master’s degree in Master of Arts in Islamic Studies major in Muslim Law at King Faisal Center for Islamic, Arabic, and Asian Studies, Mindanao State University-Main Campus, Marawi City.

She was born in Lumbatan, Lanao del Sur, where she acquired her elementary education at Lumbatan Central Elementary School (With Honors, 2000) and her secondary education at Jamiatu Muslim Mindanao (With Honors, 2004) in Marawi City.

She is the daughter of H. Abdulhalim I. Mauna and H. Mo’mina B. Maunga of Lumbatan, Lanao del Sur. She is happily married to Norhan M. Abdulcarim, a faculty also of MSU-Binidayan Community High School. They have blessed with three beautiful daughters namely: Noryusrah, Noryusriyyah, and Noryusayrah.
