The Mindanao State University celebrated the 125th anniversary of independence of the Republic of the Philippines on June 12, 2023 with a theme “Kalayaan, Kinabukasan, Kasaysayan”. It was held at the oval track ground of the MSU Main Campus in Marawi City and was well-attended by the university officials, faculty, staff, and other personnel.
The event was the university’s way of joining the whole nation in celebrating the Philippine Independence and Nationhood Kalayaan 2023. Graced by the message of the MSU System president, Atty. Basari D. Mapupuno, it started at exactly 8:00 in the morning with an invocation and followed shortly by the salute to the Philippine Flag and the singing of the Philippine National Anthem.
