The Mindanao State University (MSU) has triumphed in the EU-ASEAN Sustainable Connectivity Package Higher Education Program, securing a €550,000 grant.
MSU participated in the SCOPE-HE DAAD Project “GreenTrans-Edu: Towards Green Transformation in Higher Education” through a technical working group formed on December 2, 2024. Out of thousands of global proposals, MSU’s plan for green transformation stood out.
MSU will collaborate with five partner universities: Technische University Ilmenau (Germany), Université de Technologie Compiegne (France), Fachhochschule Erfurt University of Applied Sciences (Germany), President University (Indonesia), and Pancasila University (Indonesia). TU Ilmenau facilitated this through MSU’s membership in the World Technology Universities Network (WTUN).
The project is expected to have a significant impact on MSU’s campus community, as well as on the broader society. By becoming a model “Green University,” MSU will inspire other institutions of higher learning to follow suit and contribute to the global effort to address climate change and achieve sustainable development goals.
The success of this project is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and vision of the MSU System President Atty. Basari D. Mapupuno and all the members of the Execom. Their leadership and commitment to excellence have laid the foundation for this remarkable achievement.
